I feel unless you set an alarm in the middle of the night to hit up some Black Friday sales, you don’t truly understand the chaos of the holiday. In fact, when I was in college, visiting home and having Thanksgiving at my grandparents house with my cousins, I remember chatting with them and them saying, “yeah after pumpkin pie, I’m just going straight to Best Buy to wait in line because I need a new computer for college.” Now that’s dedication.
Now, we get sales and discounts all month from the luxury of our laptops. I’ll admit, sometimes I miss a little of that thrill. I remember after the 2008 housing crash, I was a recent grad and somehow still had a job in finance and after Thanksgiving, my sister-in-law woke up at 5AM to hit up Saks and Neiman Marcus because I needed new work clothes and everything was literally 90% off. All the old ladies were chomping at the bit and waiting outside before opening to get Neiman Marcus Christmas decor but I needed pencil skirts and blazers (and got some goooooood stuff).
ANYWAY, yes there are some Black Friday sales. I even got up at 4AM to make sure they were the good ones to make it feel like 2003 again. (jk). Honestly, some of these prices feel like 2008 again so….enjoy!
